Do I own my data?
Yes — OpenClaw is self-hosted on your own server. Your conversations never touch our infrastructure. We only access your server to perform scheduled maintenance with your explicit permission.
Which messaging apps are supported?
WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and iMessage are supported out of the box. Additional channels such as Mattermost and Slack are available as add-ons.
What is included in maintenance?
Monthly OpenClaw version updates, uptime monitoring, alert response within 4 hours, configuration backups, and SSL certificate renewal are all included.
Do I need technical knowledge to use this?
No. Once set up, you use your messaging app as normal — the AI assistant is just there when you message it. That is exactly what we are here for.
What server or hosting do I need?
Any VPS with 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM works. A Hetzner CX11 or DigitalOcean Basic Droplet costs around $5–6 per month. We can help you provision one if you do not already have a server.
How long does the initial setup take?
Typically 2–4 hours from start to finish. Most clients are chatting with their AI assistant the same day they book.
